Final-year law student · Building in public

Emmanuel Emeka

Where law meets the things I build.

I'm Ugo.B - a senior law student and self-taught tech builder based in Nigeria. I read statutes by day and ship products by night, with a focus on legal-tech, civic systems, and fintech that actually work for people.

01 / About

A lawyer-in-training who would rather write the code than wait for it.

I'm a senior law student finishing my LL.B, and a legal-tech enthusiast convinced that the legal system runs better with good software underneath it. Most of what I build sits on the line between the two: tools for transparency, access, and trust.

On the legal side my interests run toward corporate and maritime law. On the building side I work full-stack and lean on fintech rails to move money safely. The overlap - contracts, compliance, elections, payments - is where I do my best work.

  • Legal-tech

Turning legal workflows - research, memos, voting - into software people trust.

  • Full-stack building

Shipping end-to-end products solo, from schema to deploy.

  • Corporate & maritime law

Final-year coursework and research aimed squarely at commercial practice.

The legal half of the work.

Final-year thesis

Researching and writing my LL.B thesis on the questions where commercial law and technology meet.

Legal research

Statutory and case analysis, memo drafting, and the kind of rigorous reasoning that carries straight into the tools I build.

Corporate & maritime law

Where my practice interests sit - company law, commercial transactions, and the law of the sea and shipping.
